"PERMISSIBLE" - BUT NOT BENEFICIAL

He bought this bear cup to have it as a pet, though his parents were not very much interested. He loved it and played all through the days. Both the cup and Sajul had wonderful time at home. Months and years past the bear is no more a baby but it is now a full grown bear. They played together, ate together and slept together. Everything was normal… when it was small Sajul used to control the bear, now as she is grown up and Sajul had passion for the bear, it slowly started to show her real nature. She wanted to go to bed early and Sajul has to go with her. In one sense she started to control Sajul and time has come he has control… one she overpowered him and tasted as her food. One may not believe what happened to Sajul … but this is the fact … Sajul was killed by his own pet bear. He should have mastered her… he failed and she mastered him.

There are things that slowly creep into our life very slowly and we have not taken it very seriously… We started to play as it gives pleasure or we started it just for time passing. Once it was for passing the time and now it started to control us… we cannot do anything without doing the time pass… we are in control of the time pass! one example... we cannot concentrate on studies… we cannot ride cycle… we cannot sleep … without having plugged the earphone! All things are permissible because all are created by God! They are created for us! So we can enjoy! Yes it is true. Does it benefit? Yes/No! Does it edify? no answer?

All things are permissible But all cannot benefit you, all cannot edify you. Let us sit and examine our life today - Are we mastered by somebody/something?

One who is mastered by somebody/something is a slave.

Remember the King Ahab and his wife Jezebel – Ahab was a dry leaf carried by the river Jezebel! He had no control and was controlled by her – He was a slave to her though he was the king - The end was destruction.

Let us exercise the freedom wisely and live for his glory.

Does worry masters you? Cast all your burden on the Lord- He cares for you.

Have a blessed week ahead.
